PARIS BY COUCH
2010-?, performance and video.
The artist in slippers is sitting on a red three-seats sofa floating in the middle of the River Seine in central Paris. In truth, slippers and even a good part of the shins are not visible because under-water. The sofa slowly follows the flow.

The artist watches to his right the spires of Notredame Church and gives some careless glance at the quay . It looks like a tourist who visits the city from a double-decker bus: with admiration and at the same time tired and bored. The sofa follows the slow flow. Sometimes the artist takes some photos by his phone. Now and then his phone rings and the artist answers by speaking briefly with his interlocutor.

The sofa follows the flow, slow. Leafing through a touristic guide, the artist and the sofa pass under the Pont de Arts, next to the Louvre. From the bridge few tourists, in turn, snap a few photos at the «boat». The sofa and the artist, unaware, are progressing slowly towards the horizon.

The overall action takes place suddenly without any request for authorisation to the competent authorities, without any warnings, notices or press releases. Expected duration varies from 10 to 30 minutes.
